We recently took the leap to add solar to both properties.  We believe in sustainibility and it was very necessary to cut our running costs on electricity.

Sustainability: Solar energy is renewable and inexhaustible, meaning we won't run out of it as long as the sun shines. Unlike fossil fuels, it doesn't deplete over time.

Cost Savings: By installing solar panels, you can generate your own electricity, reducing or even eliminating your monthly electricity bill. This can provide long-term savings, especially with rising energy prices.

My name is Lauren de Beer.  My late husband and I started this business primarily for Airbnb in 2015.  It was designed as a retirement plan but I sadly lost my husband in 2020.  2020 came with it's own challenges.  While other guesthouses in the area closed their doors with the first lockdown, I knew I had to persevere and continue with the business as it was also part of my husband's legacy that he left for me.  I am well travelled and have stayed in many hotels around the world and realise the need for good hospitality.

After COVID, Airbnb business basically disappeared.  We started hosting work groups who were required to be on site for 6 months to a year at a time.  These stays have been successful with many returning when gaining new contracts in the area.  Companies that we have hosted :
